Firstly, thanks to all the members; old, new, and perspective, who came out to the meeting. You are what makes this club as awesome as it is. Another big thanks to our guests that came to taste the CTC Experiment beers. Community involvement and beer education are two of our primary goals and this experiment embodied both.
Onto the notes…
New business
Keg buy
-The club has the opportunity to purchase kegs by the pallet and are giving our members the opportunity to join in. Kegs will be $53.25, they are pressure tested and will come with a new set of o-rings. We are requiring upfront payment, bring cash to the meetings or you can pay via the Paypal button below(Payment via Paypal is $55 to cover Paypal fees). Pallets hold 20 kegs, Sign up here to add yourself to the list.
T Shirts
-We have ordered t-shirts as the 2014 NBA merch item. They are slate with the NBA art in white block letters with our logo and motto on the back. Prices are $15 for S-XL and $17 for 2XL-3XL. They will be available at the April meeting.
Science Museum of Minnesota – Social Science
We have been invited to participate in Social Science night at the Science Museum. We will be presenting hops; biology, production techniques, uses and flavors. If you would like to flex your knowledge muscle and participate, reach out to one of the Executive Committee.

NHC
We are going to the National Homebrewers Conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan! Six members have confirmed they are attending, they will be bringing barrel beers(see below) and non-barrel beers. If you would like to show off your beer and represent the club we will bring your beer to NHC! Contact the Executive Committee if you are interested.
Barrels
Upcoming Activity
– Saison 2.1 will be filled this weekend on 3-29-14 at Noon.
– The Belgian Dark Strong is ready to come out and get brewed again. Transfer day is 4-26. There is one spot left, if you would like to get in on this great beer add yourself to the list.
NHC
– We will be bringing 8 different barrel beers to NHC, totaling 50 gallons. We are hoping to serve our beers while we present our Club Barrel Aging Program poster. We are looking for members to brew beer to replenish the beer being removed, the ingredients will be funded by the club. We need Barley Wine, Dark Strong and Rye Saison. Contact the Executive Committee if you would be willing to help out.
Experiments
CTC Experiment Club members presented their Cinnamon Toast Crunch experiment beers to our guests. Watch for a CTC specific post coming soon.
Single Hop Experiment
The Single Hop Experiment is nearly around the corner and planning sessions should kick off soon. If you would like to chair or co-chair this experiment contact the Executive Committee. Chairing this experiment is a great opportunity to get involved in the club at the next level, step up!
Education
Yeast Experiment Tasting
The final yeast tasting took place at this meeting. It consisted of Lagers, Hybrids and Funky beer. We ended up with a lot of data….a lot. Be on the look out for an event night to help enter all of this data so we can get this finalized for the AHA R&EF!
