December Events

This month we are visiting BlackStack, judging beers, emptying a barrel, and talking about Mexican Christmas beer. An action-packed month, so swing by one of the club events and say hello. We always have plenty of beverages to share.

November Education: Brewing with Cereals and Enzymes, BSG HandCraft

What are cereal grains? How do we use unmalted grains in brewing? Are there enzymes we can add to use these ingredients and make our brew days better? BSG HandCraft will be at our November meeting next week.

Thu Nov 21, 7pm, East Side Neighborhood Services, Northeast Minneapolis, open to everyone.

Bring some tasting glasses (or we have some you can use) and homebrew beer/wine/mead/cider/etc. to share (or we have plenty) and learn about this brewing science.

November Events

A couple November notes: The NBA competition opens at NOON CENTRAL today, so keep an eye on NBABrewComp.com for more detail. Next week we will meet up at Nine Mile Brewing in Bloomington for a Taproom Takeover social hour. Later in the month, Ilya from BSG HandCraft will be by to talk about brewing with cereals (unmalted grains) and enzymes.

Does any of that sound interesting? We look forward to you stopping by and checking it out. The club is open to anyone interested in fermented beverages (and more), so come check out a meeting or event before you need to sign up as a member. Cheers!

The NBA Homebrew Competition is back for 2024!

Get your best recipes bottled up and get ready for registration to open on Friday, November 1. Entries are due at Beer Meister in Medina, Minnesota, by Wednesday, November 27 for judging the following weekend. Check out full details at NBABrewComp.com today!

We are also looking for judges and competitions support staff. Please reach out or update your account on the competition site if you are able to help!

Cheers! 🍻🏆🥇

October Education: Cleaning and Sanitation

Next week the education topic will be presented from our friends at Five Star Chemical to talk about cleaning and sanitation. In addition to some questions from the club provided ahead of time, this will surely be an interesting and educational topic. All levels of brewer, meadmaker, cider enthusiast, and beyond are welcome to join.
