The Single Hop Experiment 2014 is here!
Sign up is open, sign up early to get your desired hop variety. The beer will be tasted in July on two separate days, so get to brewing!

April was a great month for the NBA. We took part in events, shared knowledge and of course shared beer.
April 3rd – The NBA joined brewers, beer activists and beer enthusiasts at the Science Museum’s Social Science event. The event was held on four floors in the midst of all the exhibits. Brewers and educational tables were scattered throughout. We brought twelve different hop varieties for olfactory inspection. Our table was very busy describing the hop’s; aromas, uses, origins and production. It was a awesome event we hope to be involved with again.

Posters & Pints is a combination art/beer fest, with the proceeds going to Art Buddies, a program of the non-profit Creatives for Causes. $20 gets you a ticket and beer samples, beer-themed posters will be available for $30. The NBA is proud to be a partner for this event. We will be serving handcrafted sodas and educating folks about brewing. Posters and Pints will be held at the Uppercut Boxing Gym in NE Minneapolis from 6-10pm on June 21st. Tickets are on sale at PostersAndPints.com.

It’s time for our usual third Thursday club meeting April 17th at East Side Neighborhood Services, 7:00-9:00pm. (It’s 4 blocks north of Dangerous Man)
This month we return to our regular agenda and meeting format as we have completed the yeast experiment tastings. As always, this meeting is open to anyone who wants to come, members or not. Feel free to bring homebrew to share and questions to ask!

The club has the opportunity to purchase kegs by the pallet and are giving our members the opportunity to join in.
Kegs will be $53.25, they are pressure tested and will come with a new set of o-rings. We are requiring upfront payment, bring cash to the April meeting or you can pay via the Paypal button below(Payment via Paypal is $55 to cover Paypal fees).

Another big thanks to our guests that came to taste the CTC Experiment beers. Community involvement and beer education are two of our primary goals and this experiment embodied both.

It’s the third Thursday of the month, that means it’s club meeting time! The snow is finally melting, and hopefully we won’t be braving a blizzard for the meeting!

This month’s meeting was held at Northern Brewer Minneapolis.
